Cara Clairman is President and CEO of Plug’n Drive, a non-profit that is accelerating the deployment of EVs to maximize their environmental and economic benefits. In just over five years, Cara has taken Plug’n Drive from an idea to a thriving non-profit, recognized as a leader in the EV space. Cara has more than 20 years of experience working in the environmental and sustainability fields, including 12 years working at Ontario Power Generation, initially as OPG’s environmental lawyer and later in the role Vice President of Sustainable Development. Prior to joining OPG, Cara spent five years practicing environmental law with the Torys law firm. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall and a Masters in Environmental Studies from York University, as well as an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from Queen’s University. Cara is currently driving the 100% electric Nissan Leaf as her personal car and she has put her money down on the Tesla Model 3 as well as the Chevy Bolt!

He is a Professional Engineer in Ontario, Past-President of the Hamilton Chapter of ASHRAE, a LEED Accredited Professional, and a member of the Association of Energy Engineers. John’s guiding compass is ensuring that what is being done is in the best interest of the client.

Roshan Rajmohan is the Project Engineer for Commercial Air Compressor. He has nearly 10 years experience in the compressor industry and has worked with over 200 customers across Ontario serving various industries, including manufacturing plants, commercial facilities, hospitals, etc. Roshan has helped customers identify potential compressor savings, implement energy efficient solutions and realize accelerated ROIs thanks to his in-depth knowledge of compressor systems and the Save On Energy Audit and Retrofit programs.
In the past, Roshan has presented at the first “Energy Into Action” seminar. He also frequently conducts training sessions with local utilities, include Veridian, Whitby, Oshawa PUC, Peterborough, Alectra Utilities (formerly Powerstream), Newmarket Hydro and Midland Hydro.
Albetro Ang Co
Program Manager (Energy & Emissions), Bank of Montreal
Alberto Ang Co is an accomplished energy and sustainability professional for over 25 years. In his current role as Program Manager (Energy & Emissions) for the Bank of Montreal (BMO), he is responsible for managing energy efficiency and emission reduction initiatives for corporate real estate, as well as analyzing and reporting environmental performance for carbon disclosure and sustainability indices. Prior to joining BMO in 2014, he specialized in various energy efficient and environmentally sustainable solutions for international organizations (such as the World Bank), municipalities, government agencies, and energy service companies (ESCOs).
He holds a master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering (Major in Mechanical Engineering) from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. He is a dissertation candidate for a Master of Science in Environmental Management from the SOAS University of London. For over a decade, he has been a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP). He is an active member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and an awardee of the Legends in Energy distinction. He has written or co-authored publications on energy efficiency, conservation, and management.

Darren is the President at Renteknik Group Inc. based in Burlington, Ontario. Renteknik is an Energy Efficiency Engineering Consulting company that provides high-quality, reliable and cost-effective Energy Performance Analyzing, Building Commissioning, Energy Management and Energy Auditing Services to commercial, institutional and industrial Clients throughout Ontario and the United States. As an add-on service, Renteknik provides energy management and sub-metering product-related sales and technical support.
Mr. Cooper is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario with years of experience in Energy Efficiency/Energy Management. Darren has extensive certifications, including LEED® AP and Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP), and is also a member of ASHRAE and Senior Member of the Association of Energy Engineers. He has spoken at numerous engagements such as Energy into Action, LDC Events, E360 Forum and Greening Health Care.
Energy Optimization Sales Manager, Grundfos Canada Inc.
Ammar is the Energy Optimization Sales Manager at Grundfos Canada, the world’s largest pump company. He specializes in Optimized Pumping Solutions. Working with Toronto Hydro, Alectra Utilities and other LDCs in Ontario Ammar and Grundfos team have retrofitted booster pumps in more than 300 buildings in the last 5 years, helping building owners realize the enormous savings opportunities hidden in their buildings and collecting retrofit incentive available through saveONenergy program. Ammar’s exceptional ability to explain complicated technical details assists building owners in understanding unrecognized energy savings opportunities in various pumping applications.

Business Development Director – Canada, Iconics
Stewart is responsible for developing markets and opportunities for ICONICS solutions throughout Canada. He leads all direct sales activities, as well as develops, coordinates and supports Sales Channels and System Integrator Partners across Canada.
Stewart has over 30 years of experience in commercial HVAC sales and service. His career has included owning and operating his own air conditioning and chiller sales and service company, which he formed and grew for 16 years, before selling the company. Prior to forming his own company, he worked in a variety of roles for Trane and, after the sale, for Ainsworth Inc., both multi-national firms. Before joining ICONICS, Stewart was Director of Business Development for The Plan Group, one of Canada’s largest mechanical, electrical and ICAT (information, communication, and automation technology) technical contracting firms. In this role, he was responsible for developing business in both the commercial and industrial markets. He also led initiatives in the smart building, information technology and communications markets.
